Since its 2008 release, hundreds of colleges and other organizations are now using Step UP! – the award-winning (NASPA Gold) bystander intervention program that teaches students how to intervene in problematic situations including alcohol abuse, hazing, depression, sexual assault, discrimination, anger, eating disorders, academic misconduct, and more. This is the first time we have offered a training dedicated to preparing administrators and other professionals to facilitate Step UP! All attendees will receive the latest PowerPoint training along with the updated Facilitator Guide. Don’t miss this opportunity – space is limited.

This intensive 2-day training is intended for College and University professionals (including Athletics, Campus Health, Sexual Assault Prevention Programs, Greek Life, Housing and Residence Life, Student Affairs, etc.) as well as high school administrators and others who want to know more about creating a bystander intervention program.
Attendees at the Step UP! Facilitator Training and Conference will learn to:
- Facilitate Step UP! group training.
- Apply the proven research, concepts and theories behind Step UP! including the 5 Decision Making Steps and Perspective Taking
- Address the barriers to helping and teach skills and strategies for effective intervention including the SEE Model (Safe; Early; Effective).
- Apply the skills to real life scenarios.
- Engage today’s students using interactive techniques
- Maximize effectiveness through best practices and lessons learned!
